The T1 Phone from Trump Mobile, introduced on 16 June 2025 by Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump, remains undelivered nearly five months after its planned August release. The company initially promoted the device as an American-made smartphone with midrange specifications. Still, no verified customer has reported receiving a unit.
Note that Trump Mobile launched alongside a 47 Plan priced at USD 47.45 per month, offering unlimited calls, texts, data, telehealth access, and roadside assistance. The T1 Phone carried a USD 499 price tag, aiming to position itself as a patriotic alternative for consumers who preferred domestic manufacturing and simplified wireless services.
The initial product announcement emphasized production operations in Alabama, California, and Florida. However, the Trump Mobile website later removed its Made in USA pledge. The revised wording stated the device was brought to life in the United States, a phrase that avoided any direct reference to actual component sourcing or assembly locations.
It is also worth noting that technical specifications have also changed over time. Early promotional materials listed a 6.8-inch display, 12 GB RAM, and approximately 246 GB storage. Later listings featured a smaller screen and omitted references to memory capacity, raising doubts about the feasibility of the original configuration and manufacturing plan.
Nevertheless, by November 2025, the device had not shipped. A look into the official social media accounts of Trump Mobile revealed that its last activity was on 28 August 2025. Consumers who paid USD 100 for the reservation fee have not received delivery or updates. Some were told by customer service that the government shutdown caused delays.
Trump Mobile has offered refurbished devices from major brands either as part of its response to inquiries from interested consumers or as a temporary substitute rather than fulfillment of T1 Phone orders. The startup company has not rolled out official statements to the public explaining the delays or announcing changes in its branding and product lineup.
About 80 percent of global smartphone components originate from China. This complicated any attempt to assemble competitive devices entirely within the United States. Several industry experts have also explained that a US-produced smartphone with modern features and a price tag of USD 499 is impossible. This has fueled widespread skepticism.
Other reports suggested that the supposed T1 Phone resembles a rebranded version of the REVVL 7 Pro 5G. Note that this China-made mid-range smartphone from T-Mobile, released in early 2024, was recalled in 2024 because of overheating concerns. Nevertheless, without confirmed units and updated timelines, skeptics increasingly describe the T1 Phone as vaporware.
